Ali is a known peace activist, entrepreneur and development sector practitioner. He has over 10+ years of experience in design and implementation of projects revolving around peace-building, critical thinking, entrepreneurship, countering extremism, governance and youth empowerment. He has designed, worked on and managed dozens of nationwide projects with national and international donors including US Embassy Islamabad, USAID, National Endowment for Democracy (NED), United States Institute of Peace (USIP), Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), DAI, UNDP, Hanss Seidel Foundation (HSF) and many others. Ali is also a certified mindfulness and meditation trainer by World Peace Initiative, Thailand (2020) and an alumnus of Peace+ Fellowship by Erasmus (Netherlands), International Visitor Leadership Program(IVLP) on Community Conflict Resolution – United States, Georgetown Young Leaders Summit (GYLS), Doha - Qatar, Global Peace on the Move (GPM14) by World Peace Initiative, Thailand, Commonwealth Youth Parliament, UK, Pakistan Young Leaders Conference, UK and many others. He regularly trains young professionals, development sector practitioners on various subjects and often appears on national and international media. He’s executive director at Shaoor Foundation and would dedicate 15% of his time for the project.
